DoseBloom ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is stored, and your rights regarding that data.

1. Data We Collect

DoseBloom collects the following categories of data, all of which are provided voluntarily by you:

• Medication data — medication name, dose, injection/pill schedule, and dose logs
• Nutrition data — meals, food items, macronutrient values, water intake
• Symptom data — symptom type, severity, and timestamps
• Weight data — weight entries and timestamps
• Sleep data — sleep duration, stages, and quality scores (imported from Apple Health with your permission)
• Bowel data — bowel type and timestamps
• Blood pressure data — systolic, diastolic, and heart rate readings
• Supplement data — supplement names and intake logs
• Workout data — workout type, duration, and calories (imported from Apple Health with your permission)
• Profile information — name, medication choice, target weight, and preferences
• Progress photos — photos you choose to take or import for personal tracking

2. How Your Data Is Stored

All of your data is stored locally on your device and synced via Apple iCloud (CloudKit) to your personal iCloud account. This means:

• Your data lives in your own iCloud account, not on our servers
• We do not operate any backend servers or databases
• We cannot access, view, or retrieve your health data
• Data syncs across your devices (iPhone, Apple Watch) through your iCloud account

3. Apple Health (HealthKit)

DoseBloom integrates with Apple Health to read and write health data with your explicit permission:

• Read: workouts, sleep analysis, and activity data to provide insights
• Write: weight entries and workout data you log in the App

HealthKit data is never shared with third parties, used for advertising, or transferred off your device by the App. Access is governed by Apple's HealthKit guidelines and your device privacy settings.

4. Camera and Photo Library

The App requests camera access to:

• Scan food barcodes for nutrition lookup
• Scan nutrition labels
• Take progress photos

The App requests photo library access to save and view progress photos. Photos are stored on your device and in your iCloud account. We do not access, upload, or process your photos on any external server.

5. Notifications

DoseBloom may send local and push notifications (with your permission) for:

• Medication dose reminders
• Check-in reminders (morning/evening)
• Hydration reminders
• Refill reminders

Notification preferences can be managed in the App's settings and in your device's notification settings.

6. Siri and Shortcuts

DoseBloom supports Siri for voice-based logging (water, weight, symptoms, medication doses). Siri interactions are processed by Apple on-device or through Apple's Siri servers per Apple's privacy policy. We do not receive or store Siri voice data.

7. Third-Party Services

DoseBloom does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. Specifically:

• No third-party analytics SDKs (no Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, etc.)
• No advertising networks or ad tracking
• No data brokers or data sharing agreements
• No social media tracking pixels

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties. The only sharing feature in the App is the optional Partner Dashboard, which allows you to share selected progress data with a person you choose. This sharing is entirely opt-in and controlled by you.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as you use the App. To delete your data:

• Delete individual entries within the App
• Delete the App from your device to remove all local data
• Remove DoseBloom data from iCloud via Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Storage

10. Children's Privacy

DoseBloom is not intended for use by children under 17. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Security

Your data is protected by:

• Apple's device encryption (data at rest)
• Apple's iCloud encryption (data in transit and at rest)
• Optional app lock screen (Face ID / passcode)

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
